Hello friends,

My pc was in middle of Windows/firmware update when my power go out. Now it wont start. No screen, no bios, nothing. My friend say bios is corrupt. How can I recover bios?
I found guides on internet. Example: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005532/mini-pcs.html and https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/AMI_BIOS_Recovery.pdf. Some mention USB and special key input such as crtl and home key. But I not get any success. Is there any specific way to get it work on these mini pcs? Thank.

If you use the BIOS provided by other vendors on the network, it cannot be recovered, because the different hardware used and the mismatched BIOS will cause the minipc not to boot.
I can't open the link address you provided, but I can basically conclude that it is not the BIOS download address we provide.

I can assure you that my client has not tried to directly modify the bios. They are using the stock bios that you have provided and has not been touched. However, we can confirm that a power outage during boot and/or update has caused a few to fail; probably corrupt bios. We just want a method to recover our corrupted bios. If I can fix the 2 broken mini PCs then I can convince him to fill the rest of his network with more of your mini pcs, or else we will have to fill our order elsewhere. Most vendors have a bios recovery option as I mentioned, so I would be surprised if these did not. Please indicate so.

Can the device now boot normally? If you can, you can try to update the BIOS. Http://bbs.minisforum.com/threads/the-z83-f-is-now-updated-with-bios.837/

It does not boot at all, I never get any screen come up. Was hoping there would be some auto recovery method similar to other vendors and/or a hardware method?

Sorry, if you have updated other BIOSes, then you can only contact Amazon Seller Support for replacement. There is currently no hardware repair BIOS described by you.

The engineering team actually just fixed it using a hardware programmer by connecting directly to the SPI chip and flashing the original, uncorrupted bios. I'm not sure why you didn't know about this. Thanks anyway...

I know this, but our engineering team didn't open this port on the motherboard for use.

I have a similar problem with my Z83-F (MGW101701F64LPP0682). The power went out as I was saving changes to the BIOS and now it's corrupted. I tried several times to clear the CMOS but only the blue light turns on and it won't POST. No signal to monitor or keyboard. Can I please have the .bin file for this model so I can flash the BIOS chip using a programmer? I believe it is the yb2001.
