Vengeance DDR4 2400Mhz dont work on this model

Hello, I bought this computer and reused the ram modules of my old i5 and the pc with 32GB does not work. I have a 16gb ballistic module and it's the only one that works. I put another "new" Corsair Vengeance module on it, both modules are 2400mhz dd4 and the computer gave many errors, it wouldn't let me install Windows.

I requested an RMA thinking that it was a problem with the Corsair module and now that I have a new module, I see that the problem is the same. It does not start with the two modules from a different manufacturer. Does anyone know why it does not recognize the Corsair Vegeance module? I am very disappointed, on my old NUC this configuration worked!

It's not clear to me if the new module works by itself? Or, just doesn't work when paired with the old ballistic? Pairing mismatched memory can be a problem. If the new one works by itself, you may have to buy another exactly like it. Otherwise, I would look for another old one (sometimes people sell them used online. It should be possible to find.). It's always wise to try to make the pair the same brand, same specs.

Maybe someone can answer with what you've already provided. But, I would recommend being as specific as possible. Post the actual memory part numbers, each module's specs (links to spec sheets?). What was your old NUC? (brand, model).

Hi , it does not work "standalone" or accompanied with the other ballistix soddim that works fine, in the end I bought two kingstong to see when they arrive.

Probably the Corsair "Vengence" is XMP only? That seems to be a common problem for some (all?) Minisforum models. The bios doesn't support XMP. Kingston has XMP and a JEDEC profile (at least their vanity "Fury" memory does. The normal "value" ram is JEDEC.). You'll probably be ok with whatever Kingston you bought. If you posted more details (part number, link to the spec sheet) someone could tell you for sure if it will work in your model.

[Edit: I should explain my calling high-end ram "vanity." That's just my personal opinion due to the performance boost is pretty small relative to the added expense compared to ordinary ram (as long as the ordinary ram is dual rank & dual channel). I actually did buy the Fury ram for my HX90 because I saw it marked way down one day on Amazon. It seemed like a reasonable propositon for the slightly lower latency. I wouldn't have paid the normal price for it because I don't believe the speed improvement would have been worth the price. I think most people up-spend for stuff like that because they want to baby their computer. Thus, a vanity. But, I'm sure some people really do need more speed & it's worth it to them to have it. I realized I may have sounded more critical about it than intended.

Hopefully you got dual-rank. Kingston makes both the value and fury in dual & single rank. From what I've read, dual rank can add a significant performance boost to AMD systems. I think it's beneficial for Intel too, but AMD is always mentioned as truly benefiting from it the most due to its architecture(?). Rank isn't mentioned nowadays like it used to be. A lot of single-rank is sold (and Mf uses it in their pre-built systems) as "ram is ram." No mention of rank. Dual rank costs a tiny bit more compared to the premium paid for lower latency (the fury model, which also comes in single rank too. You'd think you wouldn't have to be careful with the high-end vanity ram. But, you do. I don't know why they make that in single rank. You'd think anyone spending a fortune on high-end ram would expect dual rank.).

UM350 supports JEDEC standard memory of 1.2V Sodimm DDR4, and does not support ECC and does not support XMP. Please purchase the corresponding memory to use, thank you for your understanding.

I bought this kit: 2x16GB https://www.crucial.es/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4s266m#res-install

I hope it works...

Where can I check a list of compatible memory for the Um350? I dont see any ECC or XMP reference in the specs of crucial page :(

Hello there, I bought & tried the vengeance 2400 Mhz too, and had a black screen, so for the record thoses are not compatible :


I'll send them to RMA and buy the same ones as @f_speed, hopefully they'll work
