UM300 Mini PC - Request for Manjaro Linux

Hello all!
I would like to install Manjaro Linux on my UM300 mini PC which has Ryzen 3 3300U processor with integrated graphics.

It would be nice if @MinisForum , @Wen or @joey could provide us a .ISO file, just as you prepared one for UM700 mini PC.

I know currently Minusform has nothing like this but that's why I am asking you to prepare such .iso file which has all necessary drivers to install and work with Manjaro Linux.

You can download this ISO file, burn it to a USB stick with the rufus tool, and then enable the USB stick boot installation. After completion, remove the USB stick, and reboot again from the hard drive to complete the installation and you can use it.

Thanks @Wen for pointing me in the right direction. I tried to install it and it looks like compatible however the boot up time is considerably long.

After installing, the software updater showed a lot of updates to install and I installed it and it was fine.

On my second boot up, I was recommended to update to the latest kernel and I did it but after that the PC stopped booting and would remain stuck post the BIOS screen.

Do you know what is the problem and how can I fix this?
Should I not update to the latest kernel?

Thank you for requesting Manjaro Linux for UM300.

I am official contact person of Manjaro Linux at Minis Forum. I am going through the specification of UM300 and I do not see any reason why update should stop the boot process.
As this is a new device and have a different specification, I cannot confirm if everything will work out of the box on the existing image which you have used.

The kernel update should not break startup. I advice you to do a complete update which is shown in the `Add/Remove Software`.
You can always have multiple kernels for backup though. Ignore the Kernel update for now.

Please advice on which kernel version was working on UM300 and which version did you update to, so I can look into it in detail.

As the official M Linux contact, could you post all the models that are Linux “friendly” so we know which ones we could look into? Or better yet, which models are Linux “unfriendly”, to avoid.
