N36 won't boot!

Help!
My N36 won't boot up. I get what seems to be the pre-BIOS boot-up screen. The image hangs and the boot process goes no further. I have tried to reset using the standard procedure(s)-the reset switch, the red button, Del on power-up, Ctrl-Alt-Del, nothing. I am currently unable to get to the BIOS setup either.
The advice listed in this forum, below, https://bbs.minisforum.com/threads/solve-the-problem-that-the-n36-cannot-recognize-the-hard-disk-and-cannot-boot.1235/ isn't helpful (image 91 is a dead link, FYI)
Advice?

Ok. I kind of gave up. I'll try the CMOS. I've done everything else.
How do I get to the BIOS?? I can't get to the BIOS.
