N3060 Booting directly to bios.. no keys held

I’m currently having the issue of my bios always coming up whether I like it to or not. Doesn’t select current boot available just goes straight to bios without any user interaction! Any fixes would be greatly appreciated. Second one from amazon makes me think something is wrong with bios. I can go to the boot override and go directly to os but does not do it on its own like a normal pc..

Is there any boot item available in the boot menu? Just put it first.
When powered on or rebooted.. i get the splash screen then straight to bios. I don’t have to hold any keys or touch the pc at all. My bios version also has no option for boot lock or some of the other options I see with different versions of this mini pc. Windows is installed and fine I can select windows boot manager in the boot override section of bios and boot normally if I select it but if I turn off and back on it goes to bios and stays there until I select that option.

I will post pictures when I get home.

just so I’m not wasting anyone’s time the end goal is to have this pc headless running Linux Ubuntu server 20.0 Lts With a ssd m.2 2280 128gb hard drive card. I don’t need windows just started with it.

seeing a lot of post about updating bios to make it headless and to run Ubuntu this is the first time I’ve had one of these machines and overall love it if it can do what I want in the end. All help is greatly appreciated

N36 supports running Linux Ubuntu headless by default, no other settings are required.

Does it fail to start Windows 10 or Ubuntu?
Please show me photos of the boot menu.

I posted pictures I did use the lvm partition scheme. I notice when I installed created two booting option instead of one. I don’t know if this is supported or may be the problem. On the second picture the highlighted partition if I select goes straight to where I want it but it doesn’t boot on its own. However It did the same with the windows partition too before I added anything.

How long have you used this PC?
Please make sure the motherboard battery has power.

Holds time when unplugged and reset so I believe it’s fine I used a old keyboard and in the future don’t need one for this machine but I started testing everything hooked up to it and turned out to be the key board. It’s kinda funny because when unplugged and then booted it goes straight to windows and after machine loads os I can plug the keyboard back in and use it. As for how long I just bought it a week ago and has a 2020 bios loaded in January. Thanks for all your help
