I want to know where is your SSD added? If it is a SATA port, the SATA port of U700 only supports HDD

This is incorrect. I have installed a 2.5" 500gb SSD into my U700 with no issues installing or being recognized.
I used this : TEAMGROUP GX2 512GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD (Read Speed up to 530 MB/s) T253X2512G0C101

It is because of the compatibility of SSD that we recommend that only HDD is supported. Hope you understand
