Linux bootloader wiped out with any ugly shutdown

Do you find your J3455 suitable for daily desktop use under Linux?

Hi,

I have a Coofun J34Pro (Apollo Lake J3455) which likes to run the Windows repair service whenever any sort of inelegant shutdown happens--wiping out GRUB.

Anybody have any idea how I can prevent this? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Best Regards,
lee

You might have broken your packages in Linux, I did that a few times and it would go back to the windows loader and repair. Its annoying, just reinstall Linux.

Most of the Official Linux Distro releases should work just fine on this device. If there is not a real use of Windows then you can just flash Linux on the whole disk instead to avoid window wiping out grub.
You can try Manjaro Linux it should work fine out of the box.
