Fan noise

Hello,
since some weeks, the fan in our J3160 makes very uncomforting noises. We have already tried to open the case carefully to get to the fan and inspect (and maybe clean) it, but we ended up that we can't get there without maybe damaging something, for the only big access is from the upside and the fan is on the lower side. Can someone help?
Thanks,
MSc

We tried this before, the noise is a bit dimmed depending on the orientation of the Computer. But the fan speed or noise isn't really affected by it.
PS: How loud is the noise of the fan normally when in a relatively warm environment (actually ~ 30°C)?

Well, the noise doesn't come from an extraordinary high fan speed for it sometimes makes a noise and sometimes not during regular operation. It sounds like there is something grinding on the fan wheel or there is something wrong in the fan bearing. Sometimes by tapping at the PC housing near the fan the noise dims or disappears.
Is there a way to get to the place where the fan is, maybe to replace it?

Your model seems to have the same form factor as mine. A few hours ago I was basically asking the same question on how to access the side of the motherboard that holds the cpu:

I haven't opened my case yet. If you do, please report back on how easy and save it is to remove the top cover.
