Core vs Socket temperatures

My understanding is that Socket temp is a physical board temperature whereas Core temp is a synthetic temperature.

The 4800U has a max temp of 105C.

Just looking at the genius of the internet commenters always state their Socket is higher than their Core.

My experience is the opposite. Running 15W profile at idle once everything has settled down I see this.

What do you see on your device?
Are my Core temps high?
