Cannot boot with Debian

Hi all,

I'm not Linux expert, I bought a U500-H with Windows 10, it works fine..
Then I tried to install a Debian on a new SSD, install process is OK, I'm asked to install 3rd party drivers, Got them and install them during install process..
once Debian install has finished I reboot but I'm immediately redirected to BIOS.

Any ideas to fix this

regards

Hi,

I tried to change BIOS settings for Boot sequence, didn't work

whaterver the boot sequence I used, when the ssd delivered with U500-H is plugged-in, I can boot with
when I put the other SSD I bought with Linux I'm redirected to the BIOS..

Sounds like the drivers proposed by Debian for disk controler are not compliant...

I installed debian on the entire hard disk. It is not a dual system so I do not need to modify the BIOS. Please refer to the debian boot in the BIOS. Everything works (WIFI should be loaded after installation)
For hardware information, please refer to the attachment hwinfo.txt

The reason is that your grub is not configured correctly. From your situation I can only assume that you have windows10 on default drive while debian on another ssd. So it's not actually a dual boot scenario.
As you installed debian on a fresh ssd which means debians grub is not aware of the Windows drive. While windows efi is not aware of debians presence which they never know as windows don't have any boot manager.

Afaik, you will have to mount windows drive on debian and update your grub to make it aware if the windows drive.
And then set the debian drive as primary boot option.

This is my assumption with the only information provided by you in this thread.
